چکیده

The dynamic load effect of supports is mainly caused by the movement roof structure and transfer overburden. In view practice issue that phenomenon strong ground pressure easy to happen, when working face lower coal seam passes inclined pillar in shallow buried closely multiple-seam, it will lead supprot damaged. This paper takes mining over-inclined pillars 22410 Bulianta Coal Mine as background, based on research method combining field measurement, physical simulation experiment, numerical calculation, evolution law front abutment (FAP) weighting under analyzed, mechanism stress support revealed. shows concentrated jointly borne wall interburden above support. vertical transmitted from floor acts key blocks seam, which causes effect, such cut-off. periodic breaking stratum leads development height range cracks increasing stepwise. partition characteristics mutual transformation stress, FAP, resistance (WR) passing stage are revealed, divided into three stages four regions. With through pillar, influence area reduced, peak gradually transferred outside pillar. When 5 m away FAP WR reaches maximum values, cutting along line, has a phenomenon. results consistent with measurement results, providing reference for faces similar conditions.

Instability leading to coal bumps and nonlinear evolutionary mechanisms for a coal-pillar-and-roof system

This paper studies the unstable mechanisms of the mechanical system that is composed of the stiff hosts (roof and floor) and the coal pillar using catastrophe theory. It is assumed that the roof is an elastic beam and the coal pillar is a strain-softening medium which can be described by the Weibull s distribution theory of strength. It is found that the instability leading to coal bump depends...

A Case Study of Effective Support Working Resistance and Roof Support Technology in Thick Seam Fully-Mechanized Face Mining with Hard Roof Conditions

This paper presents the engineering geological properties and roof control tecnology for a thick coal seam fully-mechanized face mining with hard roof conditions (THC) at the Jinhuagong Coal Mine (JCM), northwest China. The effective support working resistance and appropriate roof control technology are two critical factors for safe and productive mining in the THC. The load-estimate-method (LO...

Geotechnical considerations for concurrent pillar recovery in close-distance multiple seams

Room-and-pillar mining with pillar recovery has historically been associated with more than 25% of all ground fall fatalities in underground coal mines in the United States. The risk of ground falls during pillar recovery increases in multiple-seam mining conditions. The hazards associated with pillar recovery in multiple-seam mining include roof cutters, roof falls, rib rolls, coal outbursts, ...

Reduction of Stress Acting on a Thick, Deep Coal Seam by Protective-Seam Mining

Aiming to reduce the high mining stress observed in large-space roof structures during mechanized mining of thick coal seams, a control technique based on protective-seam mining is proposed. This technique was used to investigate the 8108 working face of the No. 3–5 thick coal seam of the Tashan mine located in the Datong area of Shanxi, China, by means of simulations and field measurements. Th...
